About the TrustOur Aims
The aims of the Trust are to support:
The trust help to care for families who have suffered what many parents feel to be the greatest loss of all - the death of their child. How we workThe trust works with others to support bereaved families and children. Many families have been closely associated with the Hospital for many years while their child has undergone treatment. The death of their child can leave many feeling abandoned. To succeed in our aims, we need to liase closely with the Hospital. The Staff at the Unit put parents in touch with us, distribute our newsletters and leaflets, organise events and support befriending. We work particularly in partnership with the Sargent Care team of social workers. We are working with the Child Death HelpLine, and are members of NACCPO, the National Alliance of Childhood Cancer Parents Organisations, and ACT, the Association for Children with life-threatening illness. |
